SA6061 Safety torch is a 3 cell (R20) torch comprising a grade LM6M aluminium body and screw-on front cover incorporating a lens guard. The external surfaces of the body and cover are dip coated with Nylon 11 (Rilsan) to a thickness of between 0.33 and 0.38mm.

The light source is a 3.5V, 0.3Amp bulb protected by a clear armour plate glass disc 4mm thick. The circuit to the bulb is completed by a copper strip operated by a slider switch and spring loaded plunger.

Marking on the body indicates that only zinc/chloride cells can be used.

The torch is in compliance with EN 50014:1997 + Amds 1 & 2; EN50019:2000; EN50020:1994+Amd 1; EN50281-1-1:1998 and with Directive 94/9/EC for potentially explosive atmospheres.
